PDS Rising Star

Dagmar Enkelmann hardly fits the stereotype of the grey Stalinist functionaries of the PDS. Today’s Sueddeutsche Zeitung has a profile of Dagmar , who may be the next leader in Brandenburg.

What is the secret of her success? Don’t have any discernable political ideas:

Fraktion im rot-rot regierten Berlin führt, sagt: “Im PDS-internen Streit um grundlegende Fragen der Politik hat sie sich nie exponiert.”

Das lässt Dagmar Enkelmann zwar blass erscheinen, macht sie aber zur idealen Moderatorin. “Ich war immer nach allen Seiten dialogfähig”, sagt sie. Ihr sei klar, dass sie “manchmal zu nett” sei. “Doch ich arbeite daran.”

Of course, being an attractive blonde doesn’t hurt either.
