Now that the neo-fascist weekly Junge Freiheit has won its case against the Federal Constitutional Court and is no longer subject to surveillance as a right-wing extremist publication, it evidently feels free to write openly about its views of racial and ethnic purity. This week the paper looks at the chaos in the aftermath of Katrina and sees it as the logical outcome of "multiculturalism". In this case, it was all the fault of "the blacks":

According to Junge Freiheit the problem is clear: multiculturalism cannot work. Only a "well-brought up Volk" ("ein gut erzogenes Volk") can function in an extreme situation like Katrina. Black are not part of the Volk.
Ein Volk , das sich als Schicksalsgemeinschaft empfindet, also homogen ist, bricht nicht beim ersten Hochwasser auseinander. Und ein Volk, dessen Angehörige auch dann im Sinne der Staatsethik zu handeln bereit und in der Lage sind, wenn der Staat als Souverän den Ausnahmezustand nicht vor Ort mit seinen Organen beherrschen kann, darf als gut erzogen gelten.
Of course, the message to Germany is clear: protect the purity and integrity of the Volk or Germany will end up like the anarchy and chaos of New Orleans. Junge Freiheit of course makes no mention of the dire poverty, racism and neglect in New Orleans that were exposed by the hurricane. The suffering of the poor in New Orleans that we all witnessed through the media has led to an outpouring of aid and generosity by millions of Americans and people all over the world. But for Junge Freiheit and others it is an opportunity to celebrate racism.
